Question by M D: Can anyone recommend a good women’s winter boot that keeps your feet really really warm, and looks ok too?
My feet get really cold in the winter eg when I’m sat watching football matches in minus temperatures, so I need some really cosy boots! There’s a lot out there, but they’re not cheap, so would appreciate recommendations.
I’m in the UK, so ideally it needs to be a UK stocked item, unless shipping isn’t too expensive.

In Alaska, (USA), the white -post WW11 era “bunny boots” keep peoples feet toasty warm in winter. As do a bunch of winter boots with ratings proudly advertised as “rated to so many degrees below zero.” Many of these are made of nylon outers and various insulating stuffing. And are lighter than the bunny boots. Some are light and stylish! Too.
Wearing said bunny boots are for the energetic and strong as a pair of them will give you a work out. They are the heaviest warm boots available here in AK.
An alternative are battery powered heavy socks. Just a thought as I have heard of them but have never worn these “new fangled feet warmers.” I suppose it be good to carry a spare set of batteries for just in case the set supplying power loose power…
